The long-running supernatural drama, which originally aired on The CW from 2009 to 2017, is no longer on the service. Starting Sunday, September 4, 2022, all eight seasons (and all 171 episodes) are available on HBO Max and Peacock (sign up here).

There has been some back and forth recently regarding the status of The Vampire Diaries on Netflix. The show was originally supposed to leave in March, but it seems the deal changed to allow Netflix to keep it going for a bit longer. But now the site itself reports that the last day to watch the series will be September 3, 2022.
If you look at the official Vampire Diaries page on Netflix, it says so. However, it doesn’t explicitly say if all the seasons will be removed at once or not, but we’re assuming that’s the case. This news isn’t too surprising because Warner Bros. has been slowly pulling its biggest shows off Netflix one by one.
