Video Game Musicals #90: CHOO CHOO CHARLES THE MUSICAL Eugene calls you and asks for your help to go to his home island to face Charles, the evil train spider. He sings, dances, explodes, and trades pickles for leftovers as you fight your way through Warren and his goons to collect Charles’ eggs.
Explanation of the end of Choo-Choo Charles
The game ends with the death of Charles. But in a post credit scene, the game shows that many of these eggs are still underground. And we see one of the eggs shake as he is about to hatch. We can also see several eggs of different colors. This opens up the possibilities for a DLC or perhaps a sequel game entirely.
Speaking of lore, there is a quest that plays out like Slender: The Eight Pages. During this mission, you come across ghosts that don’t kill you, but just teleport you away. These ghosts could be the souls of past miners killed by Charles or by other entities.
The last word
For what it is, you can’t ask for much more from Choo-Choo Charles. It is a game that wants to draw you in with its silly premise and keeps you playing based on solid gameplay and good tension. You won’t get 60 hours of fun with Choo-Choo Charles, but you don’t have to. It is a good time that does not pretend to be anything other than.
