The average price of electricity for regulated rate customers linked to the wholesale market will multiply by almost four this Monday, placing its average at 61.8 euros per megawatt hour (MWh), after having registered its level this Sunday lowest since last January 17 with 15.7 euros/MWh, according to data from the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE).
In the auction, the average price of electricity in the wholesale market -the so-called ‘pool’- will thus be situated for this Monday at those 61.79 euros/MWh, registering between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. lowest price of the day, with 19.20 euros/MWh, while the maximum price will be registered between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., with 165.33 euros/MWh.
