Step 1: Engage Ranni
Head to Caria Manor in the northern part of Liurnia. Fight your way through the mansion and defeat the boss inside. This will grant you access to the area behind the Manor, which has multiple Rises. At the top of one of these elevations, you will find Ranni. Talk to her until you have the option to commit to her. NOTE: If you give Rogier the Black Knifeprint, then Ranni won’t talk to you. Talk to Rogier after talking to Ranni in her Rise, he will give you an excuse to give it to him and allow you to continue the quest. If he is dead, you cannot continue the quest for that game.
