It’s true that we learned most of our drinking games in high school and college. So, years ago. And now that we’re out of school, the eight years spent enriching our minds have kept us from playing drinking games every weekend night.
That being said, while our competitive drinking side has diminished, it hasn’t disappeared. And when we do play, we usually go for the easier and more fun ones that require little to no learning curve, like Circle of Death.

I use waterproof cards for Circle of Death. They last much longer!
Each player must have a cup full of his favorite drink. Also, there should be many more where that came from!
Additional rules
- If someone breaks the circle of cards by drawing one, leaving an empty space, they must take a drink.
- If someone removes any card while placing his card on top of the can, he must drink for each removed card.
- If a player draws all the cards out of the can, he must drink a full beer.
- If someone has to ask «what is this letter for» he has to drink.

Preparing the ring of fire
You will need a deck of cards and a lot of beer. You can also play it with other alcoholic beverages, but something light is preferable, so no one gets drunk too soon.
Place an unopened can of beer in the center of the table and arrange the entire deck of cards (including the joker) around it. It would be more appropriate to use a circular table for the ‘ring of fire’. Gather all your players around the table and get ready to play. Make sure everyone has a drink.
